The main purpose of BDR blocks is to use them in schemes for joint protection of adjacent steel underground structures from electrochemical corrosion. As an additional function, BDR-25 series units can be used as polarized electrodrainage devices with maximum drainage currents of 25, 50, 75 and 100 A, depending on the number of available channels when connected in parallel. In this case, the resistance of each channel should have the same value.
Configuration options
The blocks are manufactured in two versions: - BDR-25 - diode-resistor units of joint protection with the number of installed channels up to 4, maximum current of 25 A; - BDR-10 - single-channel diode-resistor units in a reduced-size housing, with a maximum channel current of 10 A.
BDR-25 units, with the number of installed channels from 2 to 4, are equipped with a built-in switchable ammeter to monitor the current in each channel.
